Real Newsblast Episode 9: The Scott Blues

Image
Wisconsin State Senate District 10’s was called for January 15 th and Democrat Patty Schactner defeated State Rep Adam Jarchow to claim the seat for Democrats. Additionally, there were two other seats that Governor Walker is refusing to hold special elections for due to his fear of those seats possibly having a Democrat elected to it. Further, there was a bill that the Legislature is taking up to give the Governor the ability to determine when to hold special elections, even if those elections would not be held until the next election cycle. This kind of move would leave many Wisconsinites unrepresented.  Scott Walker then had to face a Court and has until March 29 th to call special elections which would likely happen in June. Walker’s team argued that the filing time is in April and that it would lead to confusion—there are only two seats—for voters regarding who is running in which election but I don’t buy it. It is not the first, but second time he has had to come to a

Real Newsblast Episode 8 Cases and Propaganda

PULSE Case People v Noor Salman After the June 2016 attack on Pulse nightclub, people clamored for action, but I don’t think the action people wanted was to go after Omar Mateen’s wife, Noor Salman   To the case: Judge Byron, who presided over the case asked a few questions of FBI Special Agent Richard Fennern, and it revealed exactly what many marginalized people have faced: that the FBI knew that Salman is innocent of the charges but decided to bring them against her anyway. Judge Byron ended up lashing out at the FBI committing fraud in order to advance this case. Let it be known that it’s rare for a spouse to be prosecuted for a terrorist attack carried out by their spouse, even when suspected It goes on to say that Mateen regularly abused her, Salman has a low IQ, was registered in Special Ed classes and is high on the suggestibility index which makes her vulnerable to manipulation. There was also no real proof of being sympathetic to the Islamic State nor any

Real Newsblast Episode 7 Impeachment, Eligibility and Redistricting as Speech

So In the first episode of Real Newsblast I decided to cover the PA  gerrymander map that gave Republicans a 13-5 advantage in Congress.   LINK:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LlVYNceis-8 It was challenged and later redrawn by their State’s Supreme Court, later the PA GOP challenged it to the US Supreme Court and it was denied a hearing. The next move seemed to just fret and accept it right? No, the next move was to bring articles of impeachment against 4 Democratic Judges that ruled to toss out the old map. After articles of impeachment were brought, the Majority Leader State Rep Dave Reed doused those concerns and while he opposes the map he believes that disagreement with a particular ruling should not be grounds for impeachment Eligibility: Abdul El Sayed Michigan I recently told everyone about Abdul El Sayed in a previous episode of Real Newsblast and I have a small update: He has went to Court to settle the eligibility question saying he had a dedicated room a

Real Newsblast Episode 6: Special Election, Deregulation, Assassination

Episode 6: PA-18, Deregulation, Assassination Welcome to Real Newsblast Episode 6 Special Election, Deregulation and Assassination When PA-18’s Republican Rep Tim Murray resigned after it surfaced that he got a woman pregnant then encouraged her to have an abortion. Gov. Wolf then called a Special Election was called for March 13 th to fill the seat, Conor Lamb and Rick Saccone emerged as the candidates who would face off for a seat held by a Republican since 2003. Now the districts will be changed because of the court ordered map (I made a video about that one and I’ll link it below as well, that was my first episode of Real Newsblast) so they may not run in the same PA-18 as was drawn when the election’s results are finished and certified. The setup: Conor Lamb vs Rick Saccone, surrogates from both sides Biden for Democrats and even Trump for Republicans had a huge prize on the line here: If they keep it, it bodes well for the midterm elections.
