Drop Charges Against Kaitlyn Hunt

Hello All

A young girl named Kaitlin Hunt was arrested for inappropriate relations with an underage girl of 15. Days after her 18th birthday she was charged with lewd and lascivious assault on a 12-16 year old. Ms. Hunt and her girlfriend met at school while she was17 and started dating Hunt’s mother maintains that it was consensual and that the other girl’s parents are out to destroy her daughter because they don’t like that their daughter is a lesbian. Ms. Hunt was offered a plea deal of tow years house arrest and one year probation, she also has to register as a sex offender, she refused.

The fact that the parents chose the time they did should cast doubt on any claims that they bring. They knew that as long as Ms Hunt was 17 they could only do so much but now that she is 18, they can press charges  against her. Further, Ms. Hunt has been expelled from school despite the fact that a judge said that she could graduate as long as she didn’t have any contact with her girlfriend. This to me adds insult to injury. This is like the case of the MS mayor’s ex-wife who was suing her ex-husband’s partner because he had an affair with him. The only point of that lawsuit was because of the fact that she felt that if she couldn’t express her disapproval and get her wishes during the divorce proceedings, she would get her way in a civil suit.

My hope is that this case will be dismissed and that the Hunts will sue the school board for her expulsion as well as her treatment being kicked off of the cheerleading and basketball teams because of her relationship with the younger student. I hope that she can recoup millions in damages and is vindicated of wrongdoing as there was nothing that she had done wrong. She just dared to be a regular teenage girl and engage in a relationship as a teenager. I also say that the girlfriend’s parents should be sued for defamation of character as their whole reason for pressing charges is animus.

It is horrible that a teenager would be punished for being a teenager. She wasn’t doing anything wrong or that most people would bat an eye at. She needs to be vindicated, not prosecuted
