Pundits are Mad At The Plebes

How often do you see a headline about Bernie Bros and Trumpers being mean to people online? Well, let’s face it there are similarities about why Bernie & Trump supporters are lumped in together. First of all, both of the candidates are pretty much outside the establishment and both are angry. Bernie points the anger at the elite and Trump points it at immigrants. Bernie is looking at changing the system to work for the American People but Trump is hellbent on destroying the system so that it can’t work period

The talking point is: Bernie is the only one that is supposed to be held responsible for the actions of his supporters online. This whole complaint about “Bernie bro swarms” is nonsense as this erases women of color and other POC from Bernie support. The fact that the establishment is willing to do so is disturbing because they are the first ones to have woke virtue signaling about Joe Rogan but are happy to erase POC. Remember #BernieMadeMeWhite and how CNN whitewashed Washington, Alaska and Hawaii after Bernie won their caucuses?

This has been a pattern of gaslighting in which pundits smear Bernie Sanders and then get mad when the plebes that are supposed to nod and smile actually push back. Saagar Enjeti demolished the NYT editorial about Bernie supporters by saying a few choice words about how some pundits claim that they have to pause a minute before they say something about Bernie Sanders. I bet these people would rather face Brazil’s court and Bolsonaro himself over receiving leaked documents pointing to corruption than face Bernie supporters on Twitter.

Elite media isn’t used to having pushback on their shows when they out and say Bernie is unelectable. They would have you nod in assent like Zerlina Maxwell did when Mimi Rocah said Bernie made her skin crawl and that he was an anti woman candidate and that Warren would show it up on stage. I guess Warren watched that clip before launching the sexist attack on Bernie. How dare we call out Neera Tanden when she co opts believe women, used in connection with sexual assault, to believe a blatant lie and scripted attack on Sanders? How dare we call out Dr Jason Johnson when he says Bernie was done in August? Or Joy Ann Reid when she called Sanders dismissive of women when he asked his wife to move away from his flailing hands before beginning a speech? Oh but that’s not all, remember when Reid had a “Body Language Expert” Janine Driver on her show to confirm Sanders as the aggressor. Don’t believe your lying eyes, Warren wasn’t aggressive at all in this exchange!

Back to the point, if you watch the “news” you may never hear that Trump admits he’d have had a harder time getting elected if Bernie was VP. You may never hear a lot of the criticism of the pundit class. Social media offers people a way to make their distaste of the establishment known and that’s why the pundit class hoots and hollers over Sanders now. They know that they can’t stop this revolution and that their gaslighting won’t work for long. They are mad that they don’t have the gateway of information anymore despite all the Russiagate tightening up of media and demonetizing lots of YouTube channels, people are hungry for news that pertains to them and they care about. CNN MSNBC and other cable news outlets just don’t offer that much for the People of the country
