Real Newsblast Special Bulletin

Hello all Vidhead85 here. I am editing a few videos on Real Newsblast and I wanted to put forth a special bulletin (video link here: https://youtu.be/n9CalrUcojY) Tomorrow is the Illinois Primary and I am hoping to see Biss win his run for Governor to face off against Ranauer and Marie Newman to pick up IL-3 and Kaegi for Cook County Assessor, I saw an article that really showed some friction big time in that race that had ties to helping development companies and corruption in that office. Kick them out! Austin TX faces 4 bombs sent to what seems to be prominent black families and I don’t know how accurate it is but the last one was an IED. That leads me to believe a racist veteran could be the culprit, or at least someone in the circle of the families with an ax to grind I can’t be sure until I know more I did a video about Conor Lamb winning his race but I just wanted to highlight that here, it’s going to be featured in an upcoming episode of Real Newsblast Also, the...

Marriage Equality Act: My Story

When I came out I was 19, and by 21 I was in a 2 year struggle to deal with my faith and sexuality, having been on opposite sides of myself to the exclusion of the other. By 23, I met a man that I later wanted to marry, but that relationship would end. However, in between is the amazing story because it would help shape me to take on other issues. In November 2010 I had just come back to the fold of LGBT activism as I began to sever ties with religious groups who made me feel as if my faith and sexuality were at odds, and reconnected to an old friend, Kitty Lambert & Cheryle Rudd…now Lambert-Rudds (Whom I refer to affectionately as Grandma Kitty & Grandma Cheryle) it was a tough time as they had endured harassment and not knowing of my struggle as I had proven myself, she was skeptical of my wanting to be involved. Some had come pretending to be for the cause but fell away after they were asked to circulate letters, petitions, make calls or do something that showed they wer...

Redistricting Circus & FL Legislature

Image
Every 10 years we take the census which gathers information about population growth or decline and is used for a variety of things from funding to voting patterns to statistical data Political Theatre Erie County Legislators Betty Jean Grant and Barbara Miller-Williams presented competing maps that were to be voted on by the legislature. Betty Jean’s map had 40% of the landmass of Erie County in one district while Barbara Miller-Williams had more even districts but they cracked up communities to help Republicans—something she denies to this day. However, it ended up in court in 2011 and Judge William Skretny ended up drawing the map which I believe County Legislators are running on today. Every 10 years, for astute political observers, we are always looking out for this and how it’ll play out in court. AZ’s Governor wanted to fire a woman who headed the Independent Redistricting Commission because Brewer felt that the maps provided to the Legislature advantaged Democrats ...

Racism & The Obama Presidency

I saw some footage of an exchange between Louie Gohmert R-TX and AG Eric Holder where Gohmert accused Holder of not taking a Congressional investigation seriously and Holder finally had the spine to stand up to Gohmert and say “You don’t wanna go there, don’t assume that this isn’t important to me” and then Gohmert shot back that Congress was trying to get to the bottom of Fast & Furious where “innocent Mexicans died” of course that was a dig at the administration, don’t confuse it with sincere regard for the Mexicans who were allegedly killed Afterward at an NAACP speech, Holder said “Forget that it’s me, when have you EVER seen an Attorney General Of the United States treated like I was by a House Panel?” Everyone attended knew exactly what he was talking about, it was a dog whistle of a different sort, calling out racism without exactly using the term racism. See, AG Holder and President Obama have often had to be very careful, whether necessarily or not about talking abou...

The Booing of Stephen Snyder-Hill

Hey all, Welcome to the Spencer Hamilton Blog! http://www.latimes.com/local/la-me-hidden-man-20131229-dto,0,4485047.htmlstory#ixzz2ov0kNEhU ” I recently found an article from a facebook friend of mine Steven Hill now Snyder-Hill, and I’m brought back to a day in September 2011 when the GOP were holding a primary debate. Who would be the triumphant candidate? , Herman “Godfather” Cain, Rick “Frothy” Santorum, Michelle “Batshit” Bachmann, Newt Swingrich or the Ron Paul EVOLution? Steven Hill, on duty in Iraq close to the time DADT repeal would be fully done had   a question that needed asking, one that could determine whether or not Steven Hill would have a future in the US Army What happened next was shocking. The Question: In 2010, when I was deployed to Iraq, I had to lie about who I was because I'm a gay soldier and I didn't want to lose my job. My question is, under one of your presidencies, do you intend to circumvent the progress that's been made for gay a...

Chaplain Klingenschmitt takes on Right WIng Watch...And Loses Big!

Hey Blogosphere, it’s Spencer Hamilton Being the astute political observer I am I try to keep abreast of a lot of developments like when TX LA and MS denied same sex couples benefits they deserved according to the Windsor ruling. All these states had to give out those benefits no matter if they were state or federal facilities. How they got around it was simply: Use federal workers at state facilities. Now, a lot of people don’t even like the fact that they even HAVE to give federal benefits in the state that says “no gay marriages” in our state. Remember after the ruling how everyone said: You’ll be forcing everyone to say it’s okay? Remember all the doom and gloom about…everything? Gun Control, Immigration, Minimum Wage, Jobs, passing LGBT nondiscrimination laws and saying that religious liberty would be at stake if we passed them laws? Now of course there are people like Right Wing Watch that has been cataloguing a lot of these people like Pat Robertson, Pete Labarbera, Bryan Fi...

Drug Testing Welfare Recipients Is A Bad Idea

I remember when a facebook friend of mine had a status that said: Drug testing for welfare recipient, GENIUS! I looked at that post and thought: He never needed food stamps ever did he? He grew up in a middle class suburb at a time when the middle class was roaring like a freight train all over this country. He is a white gay man who doesn’t know the realities of those on food stamps. Most people who support this may come from a few vantage points: Food stamp recipients are lazy (I qualified for them while I wasn’t working but collecting unemployment and looking for work) that food stamp recipients are all drug users (states that have implemented that policy doesn’t bear out that view) and that somehow if you are on assistance you must be using drugs. Simply put, this is a conservative view that a man who lobbied for marriage equality parroted this on his page. I don’t see how someone getting 1K/yearly through foodstamps can crash the economy but Wal Mart and GE getting millions of ...

The GOP needs to take responsibility for their loss

Image
If I don’t pay a bill, I lose the service, if I don’t do my job no amount of redistricting saves my job, I get fired. My Mom told me be careful what you wish for because you just might get it and sometimes I got it and never in the way I wanted. This is the same thing that the GOP is facing. They got what they wanted…or not…they wanted Obama out and obstructed American progress to do it and America came out in droves to defeat their plans and without gerrymandered districts from the Red Sweep of 2010 Democrats would’ve taken the House like we did in ‘06. I find it amazing that the GOP tells us: the poor, those of us who work hard to take responsibility for our lives but refuse to learn from this loss in 2012. Also, I don’t see them telling businesses that they are responsible for the huge deficit by paying no money in taxes but getting millions of dollars back from the big government they swear is the problem until it is the solution. IF the GOP wants to be competitive th...

Doug Preisse: Early Voting Shouldn't Accomodate Urban Voters

Early Voting shouldn’t accommodate the urban vote Video:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rL5KzyCEQ1g Someone told me that I was overreacting and playing the race card AGAIN when Doug Priesse said that Early voting shouldn’t accommodate the urban voting machine. However, what did Presisse mean? One person pulled a statistic that Columbus OH is 61% white, but he couldn’t have meant that if Priesse knew of that statistic. I don’t believe I’m playing the race card when in fact it is being played. It is the truth, they don’t want black people voting because we flood the space with Democrats and if we voted every 2 years, we’d keep the State Government Democratic and boot out these losers who feel that consent of the governed doesn’t apply to them So tell me, those who think I’m overreacting, what did Doug Presisse mean when he said the urban vote? How can you definitively say that he didn’t mean black voters, since often times people associate urban areas with the b...
