Real Newsblast Episode 7 Impeachment, Eligibility and Redistricting as Speech

So In the first episode of Real Newsblast I decided to cover the PA  gerrymander map that gave Republicans a 13-5 advantage in Congress.   LINK:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LlVYNceis-8 It was challenged and later redrawn by their State’s Supreme Court, later the PA GOP challenged it to the US Supreme Court and it was denied a hearing. The next move seemed to just fret and accept it right? No, the next move was to bring articles of impeachment against 4 Democratic Judges that ruled to toss out the old map. After articles of impeachment were brought, the Majority Leader State Rep Dave Reed doused those concerns and while he opposes the map he believes that disagreement with a particular ruling should not be grounds for impeachment Eligibility: Abdul El Sayed Michigan I recently told everyone about Abdul El Sayed in a previous episode of Real Newsblast and I have a small update: He has went to Court to settle the eligibility question saying he had a de...

When A Loss Is Actually A Win

Losing a battle to win the war? What the heck?! Senator Bernie Sanders is a self-described Democratic Socialist who says he’s not a Democrat. He is for single payer healthcare, expanding Social Security, a $15/hr. minimum wage. Though he is far left in the US, he is looked at as a moderate in a lot of the world with more Socialist leanings. He is the populist candidate for the President of the United States Secretary Hillary Clinton is the Former First Lady of the United States and the State Of Arkansas where her husband was Governor. She was very active in her husband’s White House and at the time was the First FLOTUS to have a post-secondary degree. She has been a United States Senator and her last governmental post was as Secretary of State under Former President Barack Obama Across the pond in the UK we had another battle Jeremy Corbyn, the underdog He is the controversial leader of the Labour Party accused of being too far to the left. His campaign is all about...

Hillary Clinton: What Happened?

There she goes again! Secretary Clinton goes on the attack when it comes to the question of:  What happened? Some answers....  Marginalizing Bernie supporters as white males #BernieMadeMeWhite Dismissing third party voters Not campaigning in FL MI NC WI and PA where she lost. Had she turned at least FL and two of the other states she would have won The fact that she didn’t really excite people Constantly saying “Isn’t it time we had a woman in the White House?” Acting as if she was entitled to our votes and the Election was a formality (I call that the Coronation) Refusing to speak out on the bias against Bernie Sanders Adopting Bernie’s positions when it was convenient for her Example: When she showed up to Albany for the signing ceremony of a $15/hr minimum wage bill when she only supported a $12/hr minimum wage #notHerVictory Evolving only when the political climate was right for it (Marriage Equality in 2013 and describing DOMA as...

Voter Suppression Will Backfire...Until Then, GO VOTE!!!

Voter Suppression will backfire, just you wait   So…remember North Carolina VIVA Law? It is now making waves in the state that saw Governor Pat McCrory win last year. This was the chance for the tea leaves to start showing some promising signs of rubber stamping. Voter suppression has been a key prong in the GOP since 2011 when the GOP took states that were very very purple like WI, (full Legislative and Governor) MN (both chambers) ME (Split Legislature and R Governorship) NH (veto proof majority D Governor) and in 2012 when we were celebrating over Obama’s re election something that the GOP had fought so hard to stop. Art Pope was seeing the fruits of his labor pay off when Pat McCrory, routed 4 years ago by Governor Beverly Perdue (no relation) was elected to the NC Legislature. They got to work on abortion bill in a motorcycle safety bill, tort reform, basically a blueprint of ALEC which I’m sure Art Pope has a membership in—kind of model legislation…including Voter I...
