Image
Today I have finished the Beauty & The Beast workout, which is a hybrid—or two workouts—of Turbofire, a 20 week program and Body Beast a 12 week program put together in a schedule of 8 weeks. The First Phase is 3 weeks with a transition week with less intense workouts and the Second Phase is similar. The First Phase has Wk 1-3 Build Back & HIIT 15 Monday Fire workout on Tuesday (I put Fire 30, 45 & 55) Build Shoulders and Core 20 on Wednesday Fire Workout on Thursday (Fire 45, 55 & 60) Build Back & Bis on Friday Legzilla on Sunday The transition week was less intense but still rough. We had Core 20 & Stretch 10 Monday Wk 4 Core Cardio & Balance on Tuesday (which was supposed to be Beast Cardio) Stretch 40 which I swapped out for Yoga X2 Lucky 7 on Thursday Fire 30 on Friday Sat & Sunday I rested (at least workout wise, I helped move a lot of windows that weekend in a warehouse I volunteer at) Phase 2 kicked it...

My favorite Beachbody Coaches

Welcome to the Spencer Hamilton Blog! I have been into fitness for quite some time and I have to say that I have had a heck of a journey. I have seen firsthand the gift that fitness can bring and I am amazed at it, I marvel at it. The people who make a living at this are dedicated people who know that gift and simply share it. They share it with those who may not understand the gift they’re giving themselves when they pick up some dumbbells or take a walk around the park or step on a treadmill I want to talk about my two favorite trainers and a 3 rd trainer that I rediscovered after the New Year. 2014 will hold a lot for me, a lot of changes and challenges and I want to be ready for them with a renewed vigor and an upbeat and realistic attitude. So I need to hear people like Eliott Hulse in my ear telling me what I need to know and then applying it to my life. There will be a lot of fears I will need to overcome and Elliott says that we must use our bodies to overcome our fea...

Form and Range of Motion

Today I watched a video Beachbody live sessions with: Shaun T & Chalene & Leandro I won’t lie I looked up some pictures of Leandro because he’s too cute and I love his Sculpt workout because it works everything. But mainly in the Shaun T Live chat I had to hear about 2 things which I will talk to you about today and they are FORM and RANGE OF MOTION Now in P90X Chest Shoulders and Tri’s Tony and the kiddies have what is called Push Up Bars and Tony tells us they give you about 6 inches more depth so you can have a deeper range of motion. Range of motion is simply how deep, how high, basically the degree you can go. Like in lateral movements, how quickly and how fast can you get there, deeper range of motion works more muscles. So Form is key to the range of motion because of the fact that without proper form we lose our results It is good to tuck our abs under to protect our lower back and squeeze our abs since they work in opposition to one another. Shaun T...

Thoughts on Fitness

Hello Everyone, I am going to talk a bit about fitness and some of my journey. As well as Beachbody programs that I am doing, and will hybrid If you read My Gym Experience you'll see a little bit o the backstory to this, but for the benefit of those who haven't read it or may not want to search back, I'll be brief 1. Friend was diagnosed with being pre diabetic 2. I was heftier than him and thought it was time for a chang 3. I knew I had to get serious about weight loss 4. I knew it wouldn't be easy 5. I knew it would be worth it So I joined a gym at a local college and I have to say the change of semesters was a treat. I stayed focus and the weight started coming off. Clothes no longer fit and I had to give some away because they were too big. I feel more confident now because I can wear a tank top, I never did before the summer of 2010. My chest was lifting up a bit and I'm like...what? Oh my goodness, I can buy and WEAR them! I also looked goo...
