A federal judge has temporarily blocked an Arkansas law banning abortions after 12 weeks into pregnancy, the first legal test of state early abortion laws passed in 2013.
Judge Susan Webber Wright of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Arkansas on Friday granted a preliminary injunction against the law, ruling from the bench after a hearing on a challenge brought by abortion rights advocates.
In Indiana, the 7th Circuit court has ruled that the state can’t defund the organization and that it went too far. The law aimed to deny Planned Parenthood funds from the joint federal-state Medicaid health program for the poor that are used for general health services including cancer screening.
The Supreme Court has agreed not to hear the case and leaves the 7th Circuit court ruling in place.

AR and IN have something in common regarding abortion
legislation as a law in each state was challenged. TX, Rick Perry has vetoed a
buy American Buy Texas legislation that would make all government agencies buy
American goods. Jan Brewer, Kasich and Rick Scott are a handful of Republican
Governors taking a deal with the federal government for Medicaid Expansion
Let me get to the exceptions here with Governor Brewer. I
think she is evil incarnate but when it comes to tying up all legislation until
the budget is passed with Medicaid Expansion, I am on her side with this. She
has refused to sign one single bill until the Legislature passes a budget for
Medicaid Expansion which will help the poorest citizens with funds from the
federal government which will provide most of the money and the state will kick
in what is comparatively miniscule amount of money. I read somewhere it will be
27:!. Other Republican Governors arguing with their Legislatures are Rick Scott
of FL who has had no real presence behind his support though Democrats are
urging the Legislature to adopt a compromise that will insure the poorest
Floridians and Gov Kasich of OH has
tosses his support behind a revival of an expansion proposal. IA Governor Terry
Brandstat seems to have dropped opposition to the measure. The Legislature has passed
a compromise measure and it awaits the his
signature. Maine however, has passed Medicaid expansion but like unlike OH it’s
Republican Governor sets a veto in place for it. Pennsylvania according to the
Philadelphia weekly blog post here: http://blogs.philadelphiaweekly.com/phillynow/2013/05/30/are-pennsylvania-republicans-getting-ready-for-medicaid-expansion/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=are-pennsylvania-republicans-getting-ready-for-medicaid-expansion
shows that maybe the Republicans of PA may be embracing Medicaid Expansion
The following map shows where some states are leaning on
Medicaid Expansion. Some are leaning to finding another solution entirely to
insuring the poorest citizens of the state
is the most recent state to have its path blocked
from doing so. We must accept this for what it is. Republicans haven’t been big
on any of the social programs as they put people over profit though it’s a
great symbiotic relationship that is enjoyed. Healthier people lead healthier
lives and they can buy more than just a headstone when they.

There
will be a hearing on the law in court shortly, none of my sources cited a date
for a hearing.

TX
Legislature has unanimously passed a bill called Buy American Buy Texas which
would tell all government agencies that they must buy from the States, and Rick
Perry has vetoed the bill. Why this man says he loves this land but won’t allow
this bill to pass is beyond me. I guess he cares more about the Boy Scouts than
his fellow Texans having jobs by creating those wonderful things that have
three proud words stamped on it: Made in America
I speak
to all Texans and all Blues living in Red States, hang in there and you can
turn your state blue! It happened in CO and it can happen in…cringe…Texas…I
hope that a great candidate comes around to TX that excites people and can
start cleaning up the massive oil spill of embarrassment that TX has been
subject to
